No left hand side bar on this page.

This page includes the (:noleft:) directive to suppress the sidebar on the page, and (:include NoLeftNavTable:) to include a nav bar to replace the left bar. The nav table uses a white ground and no border and a lot of cell spacing to isolate it from the text. The two includes are on each page that use it: it's not a header include.

This same trick could be used in a GroupHeader page to work on the entire group.

Edit the NoLeftNavTable

Use

For each project (repurposing, essay), create a master page with the noleft directive and an include navtable for that project. Copy and paste the two directives into each page on the project. The navtable page (eg RepurposingNavTable) can be updated and restructured as the project area develops, and the changes will appear on all the project pages. The nav table becomes the main indicator of structure.

Set up

  • Create a new master page. Include the directives and some preliminary nav: links to the page itself, and to the nav table page.
  • Create the nav table page. The nav must be in a table. Keep it simple. Scarf the code from RepurposingProject.
  • Add some placeholders to the table. Include links to the project main page and the nav table page for maintenance.
  • Use the entry point and nav table page to track the authoring work. That is, list out the pages that need to be created, move them around, rename (in linktext)...

Pages can still use local / page navigation by contextual links or page-level nav tables.
