First Interview

1. We are making a website with crochet, knitting, sewing and spinning. Which of these would you be interested in? (Crocheting and sewing)

2. Have you ever used the internet to find information on your craft? (yes)

3. Where do you go to get information, other than the internet? (At a shop)

4. What would you consider your current skill level in this craft to be? Beginner... Intermediate... Pro? (Intermediate)

5. Have you ever had any instruction in this craft? What kind of instruction? (self-taught, class, one-on-one) (Yes, lots in sewing and crochet. Mostly one-on-one)

6. What would you hope to get out of this site? (More information on what I want to do and make it easier to do the things)

7. What would make a craft site useful to you? (pictures, lists of materials, instructions? patterns? (Pictures, Lists of materials, and instructions)

8. What do you do when you get stuck on a website? (Ask my daughter)

9. What distracts you or causes you to leave a site? (Not finding what I want)

10. What do you look for first on a craft site? (Patterns I could handle)

11. What equipment do you have at your disposal? (My sewing machine is a Pfaff 2170, and I have all kinds of crochet hooks, patterns and lots of books.)

12. Are you interested in reviews of materials (types/brands of yarn, sewing machines, etc.)? (Not really)

13. Do you like projects rated, such as beginner, intermediate, or advanced? (Yes)

14. Where are you most likely to be while looking up craft-related information? (home, work, library, etc) (At home)

15. Do you print things off or work straight from the website? And if you print do you prefer (Printable Versions?) Do you print in color or black and white?(I print, in color)

16. Do you belong to any clubs/organizations/guilds? (No)

17. Who do you craft things for? (Myself, or my kids, or for gifts)

18. Do you look for volunteer programs who could use your skills? (Not really)

Second Interview

This lady is a friend of mine from highschool. We have a regular (almost daily) email coorespondence.

1. We are making a website with crochet, knitting, sewing and spinning. Which of these would you be interested in? (Crochet, Knitting and Sewing probably)

2. Have you ever used the internet to find information on your craft? (Yes!)

3. Where do you go to get information, other than the internet? (Books from the craft and sewing stores, friends)

4. What would you consider your current skill level in this craft to be? Beginner...Intermediate...Pro? (Probably somewhere between Beginner and Intermediate, closer to Intermediate, depending on the craft.)

5. Have you ever had any instruction in this craft? What kind of instruction? (self-taught, class, one-on-one) (Mostly self-taught, and some classes)

6. What would you hope to get out of this site? (Helpful hints, instructions)

7. What would make a craft site useful to you? (pictures, lists of materials, instructions? patterns?) (All of them definitely!)

8. What do you do when you get stuck on a website? (Go on to another one!)

9. What distracts you or causes you to leave a site? (Uninteresting, not that informative or what I'm looking for.)

10. What do you look for first on a craft site? (Is it something that I would make or would like to make!)

11. What equipment do you have at your disposal? (Sewing Machine, Serger, Knitting needles, crochet hooks, quilting supplies.)

12. Are you interested in reviews of materials (types/brands of yarn, sewing machines, etc.)? (Not necessarily!)

13. Do you like projects rated, such as beginner, intermediate, or advanced? (Yes, it's very helpful in picking a project.)

14. Where are you most likely to be while looking up craft-related information? (home, work, library, etc) (At home!)

15. Do you print things off or work straight from the website? And if you print do you prefer (Printable Versions?) Do you print in color or black and white? (Print off and work from there. Definitely like it printed in color!)

17. Who do you craft things for? (Family and self and sometimes for church craft shows.)

18. Do you look for volunteer programs who could use your skills? (No, because I don't think I have enough skills to be helpful.)
