Description

Heading Bullet Explaination and/or examples Photos of examples- usually lower right corner and built to the left or upwards from there

11 slides Constant background 3 slides have bold font for stressed vocab

Analysis

Photos emphasize script points -Cultural figures we're expected to know: mostly celebrities, and a movie clip.

Some slides are self-explanatory, others left alone are no good but would probably be explained by lecturer. -"Great Chain of Being"

Interpretation

Poor presentation, only two real points made: Who you are is determined by rhetoric Types of such rhetoric around us

"If you don't know what I'm talking about, here's a picture to show you!"

"Times have changed" page seems to be most weighted info, yet it's skimmed over. Most people would overlook it since there's no cultural pictures, just clip-art of a factory.

Can't compare points side-by-side cuz it's powerpoint. It says we need rhetoric to combat points given, but doesn't tell us how (perhaps that's a later lecture?) For this purpose, however, it leaves us hanging.

At least in most cases these images can be used to connect with text. This is unusual but helpful.

No summary or conclusion.
