Sarah called to ask when I was going to be home from a friend's house. I told her it would be another hour or so since I didn't have to work until late the next day. She sighed, saying she felt guilty about putting our dog Mabel in her kennel. I told her to take Mabel into her room if she felt guilty. Sarah said there were too many things for her to chew on. I stood my ground and said I'd be home in an hour or two and to put Mabel in her kennel. She's trained to be in her kennel all day, a couple hours in the evening wouldn't hurt her. Sarah relented purely because she just wanted to go to bed.

I called Jess to tell her to come home because I wanted to go to bed and didn't want to put Mabel in her kennel. The poor dog is locked in there all day she shouldn't have to be in there at night. She gives me those eyes and I just melt! Anyway she said it was going to be a couple more hours... hours! She'd been gone for 5 hours already! But it didn't seem like she was going to budge, so I just sighed and hung up with a 'fine' under my breath.

She said we were going to bed, but I'm not so sure. Looks to me like she's getting her phone out. MABEL, GET DOWN! Crap, I bet she's calling to see when Jess will be home. I can tell she's annoyed by the hand on her hip. Dang, if she doesn't quit slamming that phone shut it's going to break. This is going to be a long night.
