Perspective OneMy roommate and I were playing a video game. It started out fine, we were working together to beat the levels and worlds. Then she decided that she didn't like the way that I was playing. "Jess, quit fluttering when you jump!" "No, I'll flutter if I want. You quit tapping your controller while I'm playing." "No. I like playing along with your game. I can't help it. You screw me up when you flutter." "Well, this is my game, so I'm going to continue to flutter. When it's your turn, you don't have to." "I won't, because it's dumb!" "You're dumb!" "Oh yeah. Well . . . Bob Dylan sucks!" She knew that was the only thing that she could say that would upset me. So, I did what any mature person would do . . . . "No. You suck!" "That's dumb!" "You're dumb!" And on and on that went until she was sick of it. Everytime she tried to insult me, I turned it on her. Perspective TwoJess and I were playing Mario Brothers together. She always does this stupid fluttering thing when she has a tail and she's jumping. She flutters the tail so she floats down and it bothers me because I like to hit the buttons on my controller like I'm playing along. Well . . . Bob Dylan sucks!" I knew that would upset her. "No. You suck!" "That's dumb!" "You're dumb!" An argument like this went on for a while. She's so stupid sometimes. She argues like a four-year-old. Every time I say something to her, she tries to turn it on me. It's the most immature thing ever. Perspective ThreeTwo roommates were sitting on a couch playing a video game and one was doing something that the other didn't like. When the one who was watching brought it to the attention of the one who was playing, the one who was playing found something that she didn't like about the other one. Well . . . Bob Dylan sucks!" I don't know why she brought Bob Dylan into the conversation. He's got nothing to do with video games. "No. You suck!" "That's dumb!" "You're dumb!" This argument kept going for quite some time. It really was annoying. They're so childish. Every time one said something to the other, it was just turned on the first person. I don't know how their other roommates put up with them. |
