ENGL 3530/5530: Teaching Writing With Technology

• First summer session (early June - early July)
• 3 credits

This course will explore and provide practice with

• New media: Digital and material text and image, comics, mind maps, mashups.
• Teaching writing with weblogs, wikis, twitter.
• A look at what's changed and what's changing in scholarly and academic / student-teacher interaction: The walls of the classroom are glass.
• Web 2.0 scholarship: Wikipedia, google, del.icio.us
• No PowerPoint!

Each student will select a few technologies to work with, use them to create a project of their own and a teaching project, and present their findings to the class.
